Annalie recovering well

Annalie did really well during the night and today. She went in for an MRI this morning around 2am. We are hoping the doctor will discuss the results with us tonight after he finishes up with his surgeries. This morning they got her out of the bed and had her walk down the hall and back. She did well and shows no problems from the surgery. She has been up a few times since then for bathroom trips. There has been some nausea. She doesn't have much appetite but the staff says that is normal.

She had pain medicine last night at midnight and was feeling well enough to not need anymore until about 3:30 this afternoon. She will stay for another night in Neuro intensive care. They hope to move her to another room tomorrow. The nurse said that she could go home tomorrow afternoon or Sunday. I'm sure we will know more about that for certain when the surgeon comes by. I'll try to post again after we talk to the doctor.

An older sibling is someone you look up to, and learn from. My sister is no exception. As I have watched her meet this challange HEAD ON, side by side with her family and her LORD, I continue to learn from her. She is so amazing, her kind and gentle spirit, and her determination to get back to her active life. Vandy has an open ICU, which means family can visit anytime, and 1 can stay with her overnight. They even provided a "cot" of sorts, and blankets, very important! I was priviledged when an exhausted Gordon went to the Hotel about midnight, and allowed me to stay. The hourly neuro checks were a welcomed interuption to the "cat naps" as she passed them with flying colors. Less than 18 hours post op she passes the physical therapy motor exam as well and takes off walking down the hall with the Therapist like she had only had her tonsils out! You go Girl! I love you, Donna
