am at home again---resting! I will admit the rest has been nice, but I am getting anxious for things to get back to normal--whatever that is!!
I have a Dr. appointment Wed. for follow-up after surgery. No word on the biopsy yet. I am believing NO NEWS is GOOD NEWS. Dr. Pickett does not seem overly anxious about this, so I am trying to follow his example. They will most likely schedule surgery of some kind after Mar. 24, as Dr. Pickett will be out of town until then. Thank you so much for your continued care, concern, and prayers. It has been so overwhelming to have the response I have had from all of you!!
I continue to trust God through this whole situation, because I do not like the alternative!!
I KNOW it is no small task for him to COMPLETELY heal me if He chooses. I also know that He often times has a greater purpose. I am trying to trust Him to take me where He wants me to go.!!
Please pray for my family that they will have the physical stamina to carry forth the tasks that are ahead of them as well, since I am out of commission.
Gordon's surgery is healing nicely. He is still in quite a lot of pain, having trouble sleeping at night, because of the muscle discomfort we think. His doctor said the muscles would be quite uncomfortable for a few days, because his neck has been stretched where they put if the new discs.
Thanks again for your continued prayers!

Mrs. Maynard... You are on our prayer list at church and we continue to follow your progress. We are trusting that you will have a full, complete and EASY recovery once you get past all of this.
Tell Mr. Maynard that the most wonderful thing to help my muscle pain after surgery was to buy one of those contoured pillows. It really helped at night to support the weight of my neck.
We continue to pray.....
