I appreciate my sweet daughter-in-love who has been so faithful to update my blogspot in addition to her other many tasks as wife, mother, and employee of our shop! Even though the news we got today seems rather bleak, I choose to believe a God who is able to beat the odds!! I am going to do everything I can to improve my chances of surviving this cancer. I have great confidence in my doctor, but I am learning everyday other things that will improve my chances of survival, not to mention I am serving a miracle working God.
If prayer alone would heal, I would have been well weeks ago. Thank you so much for all the prayers you are offering up for me. PLEASE don't stop, because God HEARS and answers prayers. I STILL have a peace that passes ALL understanding about my circumstance, and I KNOW God is able to heal me. I am believing that! When I was recovering from my surgery, there was a young lady who was my nurse. 13 years ago her Mom was told that she had 6 mos. to live, because she was diagnosed with a very aggressive cancer. While I was in the hospital, they celebrated year 13th year of survival. All along the way, God has sent people to encourage me, and she was one of them.
I know things look bleak now, but faith is about believing when there seems to be no hope. I BELIEVE!! Please believe with me. I don't have anything to loose!! I love you all!!

Mrs. Maynard... you have been on my mind so much. Our church here in Tennessee is praying along side you. - Alison Fanning Creel
Dear sweet Annalie, I heard from Jeanne Hill earlier this week and just now found out about your blog. You are on the prayer list at Jackson Way Baptist Church and my SS class there. You are such a faithful friend to all so please let us be there for you and Gordon. I know that your faith will sustain you and I pray that we (your friends and family)will be as strong and believing as you are. Our God is an awesome God who reigns on Heaven and earth and He can DO ANYTHING. I remember meeting the young nurse you wrote about when Lynn and I visited you. There is power in prayer and you will be bathed in it daily. Tell the boys, those daughters-in-love and good ole Gordon to let me know how Terry and I can be of help to you all.
Blessings to you all,
Linda Martin
Mrs. Maynard,
Mom has kept me informed on how you are doing, but I also wanted to let you know that you and your family are in my thoughts and prayers. It seems like it was only yesterday that you and Mr. Maynard were loading up your van with all of the girls from our class and taking us on your next family outing. Some of my fondest memories of Central School include the times that we spent with you and your family. I learned so much from you and Mr. Maynard - giving, thoughtfulness, and kindness -and I wish only the best that this world can offer you. Regina (Warren) Burnett
