Tuesday morning Annalie met with her Oncologist in Huntsville, Dr. Estopinal to discuss how they were going to proceed with her treatment. The set up a schedule of some appointments and talked some about what to expect. Tuesday evening she had an MRI at 8 pm. She took the results of that MRI and the one she had a couple of months ago and took them to see a Neuro-Oncologist at Vanderbilt yesterday, who by the way is a Christian. The Dr. at Vanderbilt told her that the tumor she has does NOT look like a glioblastoma. It does not even look like any kind of aggressive cancer. He did not go so far as to say that it is benign, but that is a possibility. He even said that they can possibly approach the tumor surgically when they would not even think of that option in Huntsville. The Neurological department at Vandy will meet on Monday morning to review her case and see if they all come to the same consensus and determine a course of action based on the new diagnosis. Until that point, she was told to cancel all the radiation and chemo appointments.
Then, God just gets better! On her way home from Nashville, she received a telephone call from Dr. Estopinal in Huntsville. He had received the results of her second MRI. He has measurements to go along with the pictures which the people at Vanderbilt did not have. Dr. Estopinal told Annalie that not only had her tumor not grown...but it actually shrunk!!
I cannot express to you how big God is in our lives right now. Isn't it just like Him to be so amazing and concerned with us? I just feel Him wrapping His arms around me personally and our family as a whole. I just want us all to receive what He has for us during this time. God is so good.
Please continue to pray that He continues this work of healing in Annalie. I am believing in her complete healing and freedom from any type of cancer. I know that God can shrink the tumor to where surgery is not even necessary. Thank you for all your emails and cards. But mostly, thank you for showing Christ's love to us.
