Have been meaning to post this for a few days. We are leaving Sat. morning for our annual family reunion in N.C. My mom's family is from the coastal area, near Wilmington. We have been gathering there, a little beach about 40 miles south of Wilmington, for about 35 years. We had entertained the idea of trying to find something closer to home for our family, but the children really enjoy that beach, so we have continued to go. There will be about 45 of us in several cottages along the beach. We always have a wonderful time, and the weather is usually beautiful.
When I return, I will begin my radiation. I went Monday and had my simulation done, which consisted of creating a mesh cast that forms to my head, covering my face. On this cast, they marked the spots where the radiation will go, to insure that it goes to the same spot each time. They say that there are no bad side effects from this, especially for people who are healthy otherwise. I am trusting that will be the case for me.
I continue to trust God for my healing, but if not that, then whatever path He chooses for me. Thank you so much for your continued prayers, cards, and other concerns for me. I wish everyone who is sick had such a wonderful network of people who care about them. I am SO BLESSED!!
