Please pray for a young man connected to our church--Chris Smith and his family. He married a young lady, Layla who went to our church, and worked in the daycare there. She also worked in the nursery at church sometimes and kept our grandson, Gavin when he was a young toddler. She and her husband Chris had a beautiful little girl in June. She (Layla) had a massive aneurism yesterday and died. Please pray for this precious family. Layla never knew her mother, was raised by her grandparents, and was one of the sweetest young ladies I know. She was so excited about the prospect of being a mom. You can imagine how devastated this family is. I do not believe Chris's family is saved. Please pray for this whole family as they try to deal with this.
As for my situation, I am plugging along. Have had a couple of days this week when I didn't feel that well, but I am better today, PRAISE GOD!! I had a follow up visit with the radiation doctor this week. I saw Dr. Adams who is one of my favorite. He is just a plain, no frills, kind of person. Half the time I have seen him his shirt has been untucked, and he has had a day's whisker growth on his face! He said he was VERY pleased with the MRI. He indicated that he was even a little surprised to notice any difference in the size of the tumor this early in the treatment. I will consider that a GOOD REPORT!. He also said they are regularly seeing patients beyond the 5 year mark of their 1st diagnosis.
BUT, I continue to trust God who knows EXACTLY what He is doing. AND my family and friends have been wonderful during all this. Thank you for your continued prayers. They have most assuredly made a difference. And please pray for this precious Smith family as well.
